Easy Strawberry Smoothie
Required Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberry
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or soy)
- 1/2 cup of yogurt (or) 2 scoops of ice cream (vanilla or strawberry flavor)
- 5-6 large ice cubes
- Sugar (or) honey to taste
Directions
- Hull the strawberries and pop them into the blender. Then add half a cup of milk to it. We need liquid to blend the strawberries to silky smooth. If you have a high end blender, then toss the ingredients one by one and blend it all at once. Else blend the strawberries with milk first to avoid chunks. If you don't like dairy products, use soy or almond milk.
- Next add yogurt or the ice cream (we use vanilla or strawberry flavor to keep the strawberry tastiness of the smoothie) to the mix. Adding yogurt or ice cream improves the creaminess of your strawberry smoothie.
- Finally add ice cubes to the blender. If you want, add sugar or honey for additional sweetness and blend it to smooth texture. Depending upon your blender this process will take 15 secs to 1 min.
Pour the contents to your favorite glass and garnish it with a slice of strawberry.
Simple Strawberry Vanilla Smoothie
Required Ingredients
- 8-10 medium sized strawberries
- 1/2 cup sliced banana
- 1 cup milk
- 5-6 large ice cubes
- 1 spoon vanilla Extract
Directions
- Add hulled strawberries to the blender. Either fresh or frozen strawberries will do. If you are using fresh strawberries then you won't need extra sweetener.
- Pour the milk to it. Whole Milk will be better. If you want to strip down some of the calories from your smoothie drink, then use skim milk.
- Blend until strawberry is mixed well with milk and there are no chunks.
- Now add banana slices to the mix. Banana will give a thicker texture to smoothies. Make sure you use ripe banana to get natural sweetness in the drink.
- Finally add vanilla extract and ice cubes on top.
- Set blender to high and blend until smooth.
Pour the contents to the serving glass and season it with a strawberry slice on the rim.
Strawberry Blueberry Delight
Ingredients
- 1 cup of strawberry (hulled)
- 1/2 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of yogurt (plain or vanilla flavor)
- 5-6 large ice cubes
- Honey to taste
Directions
- Add strawberry and blueberry to blender.
- Pour milk to it and blend it to a swirling mix.
- Add half a cup of yogurt and ice cubes to the mix.
- Add honey for sweetness. If you use fresh berries then you will need only little amount of honey.
- Now blend it to a smooth creamy liquid.
Pour it into your favorite smoothie glass and enjoy :)
Strawberry Ice-cream Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 scoop vanilla or strawberry ice cream
- 5-6 large ice cubes
Directions
- Add hulled strawberries and orange juice to the blender jar.
- Add milk and ice cubes to the mix.
- Finally add ice cream on top and blend it until smooth.
Pour into a tall glass and garnish with an orange slice on the rim.
