Here goes the recipe for the detox green smoothie. The given proportion makes two servings.
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (tightly packed)
- 1 large carrot
- 1 apple (cored)
- 1 cup ice cold water
- 1 tablespoon of frozen grated ginger
- 1 lemon or lime squeezed
- Rinse spinach leaves well. Chop carrot and apple.
- Combine all the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend to a smooth consistency.
- If your blender can’t handle green leaves well, then first blend spinach with water until smooth and next blend it with the rest of the ingredients and puree until smooth.
- Pour into a chilled glass and season it with a pinch of sea salt or nutmeg.
